The structure focuses on bringing the community together and hence a universal language was carried with its intent. The idea of time which speaks to the user through sunrise and sunset can be viewed through the entrances and a fire-pit at the center of the lodge creates a welcoming and comfortable environment for the user to hold gatherings in or for passersby to take a break and be one with nature.

The site chosen was an octagonal concrete brown-field located at the center of the park. It was surrounded by vegetation and was far from the main roads which allowed one to be away from the noise. For the design of the lodge the existing footprint of an octagon creates the form for the module and similar to a nest which houses its users from the weather and creates a comfortable space. The 2” x 2” octagon wood frame were manipulated and turned every 5 degrees on each level to create an organic structure out of a linear frame.
